Prof. Dr. Jean Paul van Marissing is the Director of Webster University in Leiden. He has leadership and management experience in the public, legal and education sector in the Netherlands. He recently comes from Nyenrode Business University (2005-2010), where he held the chair EU Competition Policy, and was a partner with two American law firms, Baker & McKenzie and Howrey (1996-2005). Before he became a lawyer, he represented the Dutch Government to the European Union in Brussels (1993-1996) and was a business consultant for the Euro Info Centre (1988-1993).
Jean Paul van Marissing holds a PhD from Leiden University and degrees from the Universities of Tilburg and Utrecht, all in the Netherlands, as well as a completed Executive Leadership and Strategy program at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, Chicago.
Dr. Jacques Kaat is from the Netherlands. He obtained his drs. degree in English language and literature from the VU University in Amsterdam and his PhD from Hull University (UK, 1985) in comparative literature and translation studies. After working in the UK for 10 years as head of a translation bureau, he returned to the Netherlands to become director of postgraduate Studies (MBA and MSc) at NHTV Breda, setting up the International Management Institute in collaboration with other polytechnics and a British university. As academic director at Webster, he is responsible for the faculty, the schedule, teaching, accreditation and all other academic issues.

Marielle is from the Netherlands. She obtained her Drs. Degree in Business Administration from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. She has a strong background in Sales and Management. Marielle started her career in the Software industry, then moved on to managing different (sales)teams at companies like Verizon (MCI WorldCom) and American Express. Before joining Webster she was managing a team of 60 people as the Director of Admissions at Laureate Online Education.
