CrossLines seeks to bridge the gap between 'traditional' business entrepreneurs and social entrepreneurs. On the one hand, to give the business entrepreneurs the possibilities how they can use their experience and their management skills (and in some cases their personal wealth) to assist social entrepreneurs to create opportunities for people to create new and economical independent lives. On the other hand, to create opportunities for social entrepreneurs, who have been able to create environments in which underprivileged persons can find gainful employment, a place in civic society, sometimes even entire infrastructures for underprivileged communities but haven't been able to turn this into self-sustaining financially independent ventures to do just that: create wealth and social value at the same time. The CrossLines Foundation now works with Webster University Leiden to organize Webster University's second annual Social Entrepreneurship Symposium.
