Career Center 

Janet Inglis, already an experienced career counselor and author of the careers book for women, Handling Holland, is the new Career Center Coordinator and she is available at Webster on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, either by appointment (inglis@webster.nl) or on a drop-in basis if she is free.

  • Coaching for those in a period of difficulty or transition
  • Individual testing and assessment for personal exploration
  • Networking opportunities
  • Help with finding paid employment 
  • Advice on graduate school opportunities
  • Advice on resources, including a number of career books in our library and useful websites 

In addition, department heads and academic advisors are also available to help students with questions about careers and internships.



Internship Center

Mr. Art De La Loza is an American attorney and is in charge of finding internships for our delaloza.jpgstudents. He has offered graduate and undergraduate courses in Orange County, California, Los Angeles, London, Geneva, and Leiden. He has served as a bank officer, and managed the City Treasurer’s Office for the City of Huntington Beach, California, where he also held the positions of Contract Administrator, and Deputy City Attorney. Mr. De La Loza was also responsible for advising on, prosecuting, and defending, federal and state civil cases to arbitration and trial. He is a current member of the University of California, Los Angeles, Extension, Advisory Board for the Attorney Assistant Training Program, and holds an MA, J.D., and a post-doctorate LL.M. Going Global
is an international career information website that includes profiles for 24 countries and 40 U.S. cities. Going Global career and employment resources include world-wide job openings, internship listings, industry profiles and country-specific career information.

More than 30,000 pages of constantly-updated content is included on topics such as: work permit/visa regulations, resume writing guidelines and examples, employment trends, salary ranges, networking groups, cultural/interviewing advice, corporate profiles and worldwide job listings.

SIGI3 is a self-directed, online career assessment tool that enables you to explore and connect your interests, values, and skills to majors and occupations. SIGI3 also includes detailed information about a wide range of occupations.

To access Going Global and SIGI3, log in to Connections from the Webster University home page and add the Career Services channel:

  1. Login to Connections
  2. Click on Content/Layout in the upper left corner
  3. Click the “add channel” button in the location you wish to add the channel
  4. Under category choose Links
  5. Then in the 2nd box choose Career Services Channel
  6. Click Add channel
  7. Click “back to My Connection” in the upper left corner
  8. The channel will appear in the location you chose
