It is with great pleasure that Webster University announces the appointment of Dr Jean Paul van Marissing as the new director. 

Dr van Marissing has been a business consultant, diplomat for the Ministry of Economic Affairs, board member for a construction company, managing partner and chairman of the board in Baker & McKenzie and Howrey law firms, and professor (chair) of European Competition Policy at Nyenrode. He has 12 years of experience working for American law firms, and in his various capacities has travelled widely in the US, Puerto Rico, and throughout Europe. We are convinced that Dr van Marissing will position Webster professionally in relevant areas.

Dr van Marissing lives in Amsterdam, is married and has 3 children. He possesses a Masters in Law from Tilburg and Utrecht Universities, a PhD in European Law from Leiden Universty, and followed the executive leadership & strategy program at Kellogg School of Management / Northwestern University (Chicago).

We will welcome Dr van Marissing in his position on February the 1st, 2010.
