BA Business and Management


Many Webster students focus on business or management during their undergraduate studies. Earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in International Business, Marketing or Management or a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Administration can be a good way to start a business career in most parts of the world.

Studying business or management exposes you to all kinds of fascinating questions about how to communicate with individuals, how to make organizations work more effectively, how to develop strategic plans and how to reward creativity and innovation.

We offer the following 4 majors:

International Business

Required Courses:

 Four international courses from the following areas:

  • International History
  • International Politics
  • International Relations

Plus 9 general education, 17 elective courses and mastery of a foreign language other than English

The student must complete at least 30 credit hours at Webster, at least 18 credit hours in the department. No more than one course completed with a grade of D may count toward fulfilling the major requirements, and the student must have a GPA of at least 2.0.

BS in Business Administration

The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration is for students with a very strong interest in business who want exceptionally strong preparation in that field. The program is more structured than many business programs and ensures that the student is exposed to the business areas of accounting, economics, finance, management, marketing, international business, business law and information systems. The program also includes exposure to advanced topics that are important to business.

* At the St. Louis campus, students need to take MNGT 3310 Legal Environment of Business instead of this course.
