Webster Leiden Campus Joins Circular Science Park
October 10, 2025
Webster Leiden Campus has strengthened its commitment to sustainability through strategic initiatives, including the launch of the MS in Sustainability Management and the integration of sustainability across undergraduate and graduate curricula.
As part of this effort, the university has expanded partnerships with the local business community. Most recently, Webster Leiden joined the Leiden Circular Science Park (LCSP), a collaborative network of institutions and companies based in Leiden and at the Leiden Bioscience Park — home to more than 450 organizations in health and life sciences. LCSP aims to drive impact in areas such as waste reduction, energy efficiency, recycling and long-term environmental sustainability.
At a recent LCSP meeting, Linda Deigh, PhD, Head of Corporate Partnerships, and Laurent Righetti, student of the MS Sustainability Management program and marine biologist, highlighted the role of Webster students in the early phase of the initiative. Through baseline outreach and assessment, students will contribute valuable insights while gaining hands-on experience in sustainability practice.
Webster Leiden remains committed to fostering meaningful collaborations with local partners, supporting a shared vision for a more sustainable and environmentally conscious community.
